Adam Smith is an accomplished coach, consultant, facilitator, and educator with over 30 years of experience working with senior leaders in various organizations. He began his career in marketing with AT&T and subsequently managed client relationships and led engagements for international retained executive search firms across diverse industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, consumer products, banking, brokerage, retail, aerospace, technology, and manufacturing. During this time, Adam also led consulting engagements encompassing competitor landscape and compensation studies, senior leadership team assessments, succession planning, organization assessment and design, change management, and process improvement.
Following his graduate studies in psychology, business, and organizational development, along with completing coach education, training, and certification, Adam joined Nebo Company focused on leadership and leadership team coaching for Fortune 500 and Global 1,000 corporations, as well as nonprofit, higher education, international multilateral, and federal sector clients. His experience spans all levels and functions including Board, CEO, C-Suite, Division Presidents and Business Unit Leaders, and across Finance, Operations, Marketing, Sales, HR, R&D, IT, Government Affairs, and beyond. Adam has conducted over 4,000 hours of coaching with senior leaders and leadership teams, serving over 1,000 clients across sixty-three countries.
A coaching relationship with a leader involves a complex and dynamic thinking partnership that evolves continuously. It focuses on attention, attunement, attachment, aspiration, mindset, cognition, perception, emotion, reflection, identity, motivation, capabilities, behavior, learning, experimentation, and other dimensions. Adam aims to enable leaders to achieve deeper self-awareness, reflect on their processes, engage in learning and development, access greater capacity, use energy more productively, amplify impact, transform relationships, and experience greater success and satisfaction in their professional and personal lives.
