Gad Nestel
Facilitator
“In work, like life and nature, summer turns to fall and then winter and back to spring in a blink of an eye. My role with teams and coaching clients is to help them pause and chart new paths that leverages the change rather than fight against it.”
Drawing on his experience as the first Dean of the Bechtel Leadership Academy and founder of BTS’ Coaching practice, Gad brings credible experience working with executives and senior teams to overcome their toughest challenges at critical inflection points. Gad’s fascination with team development and performance can be tracked back to his own life’s experiences at the Naval Academy, on sports teams, where those that shared ideas lightly and put their egos aside were quickly recognized as natural leaders and far more effective. When Gad works with leadership teams, his objective is to facilitate in a way that creates brave spaces that enable deeper connection and alignment within and across teams.
Gad’s 20-year career in consulting was spent designing, selling and facilitating learning and development programs. Early in his career, these engagements were almost exclusively custom business simulations, where small teams of leaders would collaborate to make realistic decisions that developed their understanding of strategy and business acumen. More recently, programs he focused on large scale culture transformation or developing high-potential talent.
When Gad works with individuals, they often cite the combination of practical business acumen and tools as helpful to make small changes that have an immediate and positive impact on their own confidence and influence. Whether its C-suite leaders or first-time managers, Gad finds 1:1 coaching some of his most rewarding work.
