Nicole has over twenty years of experience in private and public accounting across multiple industries. She is motivated by the critical role that leaders play in shaping organizational culture and the employee experience. Developing leaders who foster a strong culture can positively impact the experience of their employees, and in turn generate positive business outcomes. Nicole is excited to be building Nebo at this time of extensive growth and she is inspired to see the impact Nebo has on its clients.
As Controller at Nebo, Nicole is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the financial systems and frameworks to support a robust finance function. Nicole assesses, identifies and implements measures to improve finance and business operations, including day-to-day accounting functions; the analytic and reporting capabilities of the function; and contributing to business strategy.
Nicole enjoys spending time with her family in her hometown of Atlanta, GA. She is passionate about ending childhood cancer and is involved in organizations to fundraise to support research and support families with children fighting the disease.
Experience
- Served as VP of Finance for an international staffing firm and created financial reporting packages that was used by local managers across the organization
- Developed finance teams to provide integral support to leadership and staff in entrepreneurial environments
- Began her career with Ernst & Young as an audit associate reviewing financial statements and assessing internal controls
Education
- Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting Concentration (University of Georgia, Terry College of Business, J.M. Tull School of Accounting)
Personal
- Enjoys hiking and kayaking with her family
- Finds happiness trying out new recipes in the kitchen, especially when joined by her daughters
- Is a proud Georgia Bulldog
